Ken began his martial arts training in Kenpo Karate in 1976, and began training in the Bujinkan in June of 1985. Internationally recognized as a teacher, Ken travels locally and as far away as Japan to increase his knowledge and impart it to others. After reaching the rank of Godan (5th degree black belt) in June of 1997, Ken created New England Warrior Camp, an annual event designed to teach "old-style" methods of the Ninjutsu martial art in a rustic setting, with instructors from all over the New England area instructing participants with their own unique teaching methods.
In 2002, Ken requested and was granted permission from Hatsumi Soke, the Grandmaster of the Ninjutsu martial tradition, to open his own Bunjinkan dojo. After careful planning and effort, the Winchendon Martial Arts Center/Bujinkan Savage Dojo opened its doors in 2007. As the New England Warrior camp motto states, so does the Winchendon Martial Arts Center:
Explore, Challenge, and Develop your warrior spirit!
